Depends on size but usually within a day

I booked Hiltons in Stockholm and Iceland through Chase UR travel. On Hilton's end it comes up as a booking through Expedia. I called both hotels and Hilton Reservations to add my Diamond #, and all told me that I won't get points or recognized Diamond status since booked through 3rd party. Iceland offered me a one level upgrade as "courtesy" but no other benefit (lounge, etc.).

Interesting how flights booked through 3rd party are eligible for miles accrual and status recognition (free luggage, etc.), but not hilton.
I was counting on upgrades and lounge access. Doesn't seem like a nice way to treat Diamond status. If I attained status through stays, which is quite substantial, I would feel dissed and pissed.
Any way around this? will HUCA to HHonors help?

That's how it is with hotel chains. Interestingly enough, hotels booked with Upside Travel are treated as booked directly with the chain. That is what Upside announced recently. I didn't try it personally yet. It's not with all hotel chains, though.

All hotel chains are like this not just hilton they lose alot on the commission to 3rd party and travel agents so any way to get you away from using them they do.

I could be wrong as I don't have the card but it seems like from all the blog posts that somehow all the booking via the Citi Prestige service that people use for the 4th night free do qualify the same as booked directly with the hotel. I'm not sure how they work that.

I do all my bookings with prestige phone Conceirge and they book directly through the hotel so not considered 3rd party and they put in your loyalty number when the y do the bookings ,

Update:
Before I left, I called HiltonHonors again, and explained that the choice to use 3rd party was out off my hands, since work related (I made that up), but, that I had choice of which hotel to book, and I chose Hilton because of my loyalty to them as Diamond member. They agreed to put a note in my reservation that the hotel should extend to me whatever Diamond benefits they can. When I checked in, I was told same story of since 3rd party they can't recognize diamond status. I told them that I spoke to HHonors, and to check the notes. In the end, at both hotels, they agreed to give me Diamond benefits. It just took a little finesse.

Interesting. Doing a search on Hilton for any hotels in "Israel" and Ner Israel Rabbinical College, MD showed up in the search results and you can search for hotels around there, while "Israel" wont show up. You need to search by city so if search for Jerusalem, Jerusalem will show up.
