I don't understand what the problem with posting numbers is, many times the value will depend on the number of miles in the account.

To the nearest number that won't drastically effect the info you're looking for. Smaller accounts to the nearest 25k or just say under 10k, under 15k etc. Larger accounts, ~150k ~1.5mm. Does that make sense?

There is also specific numbers that make it better and can effect the value, ie SPG can be worth more if it's divisible by 90k.

Correct, and for exact pricing, talk to a broker. This thread is for ballpark figures, as clearly shown by the 15 different numbers you get, every time you ask.

Agreed. I'm not heavily involved in buying/selling and even I can tell that. How many people, take the info they gather here, and actually count on it?

Nobody. At the end of the day, they'll call a few brokers and take the best offer they're given, regardless of what they were or weren't told here.
