United Miles expired - I need a car reservation to add to my account

I have two United Miles that had its miles expire on October 1, 2015 and I am looking to get them reactivated. I need a car rental reservation from April 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015 from either Hertz, Dollar or thrifty do add to my account to get them reactivated.

Please let me know if you can help.

I tried using my National car rental a few months but they have yet to post to one of the accounts, not sure what the typical time frame is.

I would like to add myself to the list of those needing to reinstate their UA miles... mine expired on the exact same day as the OP, 11/1/2015!  Since Hertz only allows up to 6 months, the cutoff for them is 9/3/2015 as of this posting date.  Not too sure about the other rental programs.

how long does this take to reinstate once added? Can other people's rentals reinstate another person's account?
