If I'm not mistaken biz cards aren't subject to the 5/24 rule
does that mean i can get 5 personal and go on to get business?

technically you can but that doesn't mean it is automatic. If they see you just opened 5 personal cards they might not want to give you a business card. What helps though is having an existing business card to transfer a credit line from.

It's 5/15 and Chase rules have stayed the same. So much for DoC's "inside source".

Lol
I'm sure DoC is just as glad.

denied SWA card due to too many cards opened with other banks. Have excellent credit and use my chase cards well,  but still no go, nothing to discuss. sounded like 5/24 rule.

My wife's united card was just billed AF. I have yet to ask for retention, but if they don't offer anything good i will cancel.
I want to get a CSP in December once she is past 5/24.
Was thinking it may be an idea have her apply for a co branded card now, and offer to close the United card in order to approve that one.
Problem is I have no time for calling retention and Huca etc.
Is there any point trying? What are her chances of getting approved for a Southwest card when she is more than 5/24 without playing huca? (She has more than $10k in her chase bank account.)

Isn't there a unlisted united card you can  downgrade to?

A friend with close to 50k in Chase checking was just approved instantly for a Sapphire, although being way over 5/24 (he was at 9/24).
