It doesn't

I was just wondering if its an unknown qualified offer that worked, even without code, or is it the relationship?

Did he go over 5/24 close to his app? i.e. were they already showing on his credit report at the time of the csp app?

Auto approvals were never ruled out - it's recon who enforce 5/24.

And 5/24 was the reason given on the letter? Regardless, it doesn't rule out auto-approvals.

ETA: "Too many recent credit applications" has always been a reason for denial, long before 5/24 came around.

Are you claiming that auto-approvals are just as easy as prior to 5/24?

from what I understand: the only way to beat 5/24 is with instant approval. If you have to go to recon you pretty much have no chance.

I never said auto approvals are just as easy as before. Only that instant/auto approvals are not precluded by 5/24.

From what it seems to be instant approvals are highly unusual (or maybe impossible) with 5/24. Anyone else with success here on instant after 5/24?

update: I was approved today for all 3. I have opened way more than 5 cards in past 24, though, I have disputed a few inquiries on my report that was pulled from Amex a few days apart. Not sure if tha helped.

Basically your amex business cards aren't reported so you're probably under 5/24
That makes sense

So obviously meanwhile no proof for instant in CS after 5/24

Based on reports, yes, for the Marriott. No, for the Ritz.
