So does anyone else think chases 5/24 rule is unsustainable long term for them?
What makes you say that?

as more and more millennials get into maximizing sign up bonuses inherently they start with chase and then move on. and if they are doing just 5/24 they can do that for years without ever touching a chase card again.

It's such a small percentage of Chase's customer base that I don't think it will matter. How many people (outside of this game) do you know who, in any given 24 month period have signed up for 5 credit cards?

A few weeks ago, JPMorgan Chase released a new travel credit card – the Chase Sapphire Reserve. The Internet quickly blew up with reviews and articles praising its rewards and bonuses. The demand became so high the issuer ran out of cards soon after release. One of the most interesting things about this launch has been the audience it attracted. Lauren Francis, a spokeswoman for Chase, told Bloomberg the bank approved “tens of thousands” of applicants, most of whom were millennials.

they will move on IMO after they spend the points for a trip and they will eventually think about canceling the CSR. just my .02

If course many will, that doesn't mean that 5/24 is unsustainable for chase.

if they keep their cards competitive then maybe, but as soon as its not competitive and people cancel they won't get them back without a change to 5/24

If I downgrade a united card, does that count as a new credit card to affect my 5/24?

Use a spreadsheet. Input your data and keep record on your own.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

Right. I'm trying to find the data. From the past two years.
