From reddit: I'm not saying this is wrong, but it's still premature. Each DP has its problems:
DP1 "denied for too many cards when I called" That's too vague
DP2 "Not able to recon." You absolutely can recon a 5/24 denial. This denial is more consistent with Chase's "too many requests for credit" which you can't recon.
DP3 "too many credit cards with in the past 48 months" 48 months?
DP4 "phone status changed to 7-10 days" We don't know the reason for denial or even if it IS a denial
DP5 "called the status line this morning, says 7-10 days" Same as DP4
Like I said, do as you wish with that info. I wouldn't say it's set in stone, but don't think these are good signs.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

The 48 month language is unsettling as well. Not going to jump to conclusions, but still preparing for bad news

On the chase credit score from TU it says I have 5 new cards in the past two years. Is that the metric they use internally as well; basically I just need to keep an eye on when it dips to 4?

Most of us out the fork in chase a long time ago.

And then as it's getting oh so perfectly crisp...the oven explodes.
