While I'm not siding either way, the people who gave it a hechsher, clearly disagree with you(OP). There is a concept of allowing people to have their own (sometimes wrong) opinions. My comment was less about the actual halacha, but more about the fact that it needed to be pointed out. Just because I believe someone is dead wrong, doesn't mean I need to tell them, especially when it will not change their mind in any way, or they got that psak from their daas Torah. This may be necessary in some cases, but here I believe it's not.
