I'm late to this conversation but I've been following it all along. As a pretty new DDF member and a not so new DD reader, my thoughts are as follows:The newbies stick to commenting on the main site, which is basically an "ask Dan" session. Dan has incredible patience and incredible kindness in responding to every single post that is directed at him. He could refrain from responding at all or just brush everyone off and send everyone to DDF to get their questions answered, but he doesn't do that. Anyone commenting on DD appreciates/should appreciate that. Now every once in a while a comment so preposterous comes along, and Dan (or others) posts it in this thread. Why? Well, it must be Dan's way of venting without insulting the guy publicly. Yes, it's private over here. How? The illiterate/too-lazy-to-read-the-post posters are not the same people that are posting and viewing DDF. In order to make it to DDF, one would need the tiniest bit of literacy to figure out the "dansdeals" captcha when signing up. Additionally, they would need to be diligent to actually go out of their way to sign up to ask their questions on DDF, something that won't happen to the lazy DD poster.TLDR; Everyone should be happy, dumb and lazy aren't on DDF
