Not when you are using 1400 KW a month and they charge 6 cents more per Kilowatt than the competition. That begins to become a losing proposition very quickly, no matter how many points they give you.
If you want to take your chances and do the deal, you certainly can. Maybe you'll make out better than I did (especially now that you know their rates are higher and you need to get out), but don't complain if it bacvkfires on you...you were warned!!! :-)
I am embarrassed to say that I signed up for this and it was a huge mistake. Their rates were consistently higher than ConEd and they took their sweet time switching me back to coned. I would go to coned's web page and check their recent rates and compare to energy plus rates.I would not do this offer unless you are using a smaller regional energy company and energyplus rates are competitive.
Has anyone yet done this and what was your experience?
