Doesn't look like VA T-class will get you more than 50% anywhere:

I dunno why now that BA 4500 is gone, VA 6900 is not in...

For those who booked tickets and want to credit the miles to their Velocity account, make sure to activate this offer for triple points:
https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/content/Promotions/delta-triple-points/

Maybe someone can confirm, but I think these tickets booked into Class T, which has a base rate of 0.5 miles per mile flown on Virgin Australia, so tripled that would be 1.5 points per mile flown.
That seems better than crediting to Delta where the base rate is 0.5 miles per mile flown.
Any other ideas?
Double points in economy.
Can anyone confirm the fare class?

I cancelled, wife wasn't willing to be there over shavuos. but thanks dan for this deal. even though I wasn't able to cash in on it, the 24 hours while I had the ticket were very exciting

Can't confirm it, but here is a source:

Where can I check? It doesn't show on Orbitz nor Virgin Australia.

Is 1 VA mile worth more than .5 SQ is the question.

Sorry to seem like an amateur - probably because I am one - but can someone tell me which frequent flyer programs (FFNs?) I can use for these flights? Would it be only Delta and Virgin Australia?

At what point are these tickets "safe" so I can book ongoing travel to NYC?
Also, I see Virgin Australia partners with DL and Virgin America, as well as interline partners with United and Alaska.
Questions:
1. Will Virgin Australia provide boarding passes all the way if ongoing travel is on a separate ticket?
2. Will partner airlines "cover me" if Virgin Australia flight is delayed and I miss the connection?

Is 1 VA mile worth more than .5 SQ is the question.
If you are already going in this direction, then credit to VA, then you can link your VA account to your SQ account and transfer at 1.35:1 ratio, you will end up with more miles!

Says 5K minimum. My question is in what increments it allows after that.

Can you pool a family's points together and then transfer everything into 1 SQ account?
