AA Hold Cancelled?

Please pardon the new thread as I have less than an hour to Shabbos to take care of this...

I placed a hold yesterday at 2PM for an AA flight NYC-MIA, in the email it said that its on hold till 11:59pm today but when I tried to purchase it now it says it's cancelled 😡

Why did they cancel it? Anything I can do?

That's happened to me. Is it still available? If it wasn't cancelled for a particular reason (e.g., fare mistake), you probably can get them tot reinstate it. PUTPAC

It happened to me when I got the price from GF which then took me to AA.com to book. When I called aa they said its not they're responsibility as its considered a third party booking.

The first rep I spoke to was a real ... I've got no time for HUCA now so I just booked a different flight and swallowed a $60 loss Crazy AA😡

First time you put the fare on hold?

Are you sure it said next day, and not same day midnight

When I went to Australia a month ago on Etihad I had the same issues with AA.
The only sane excuse I can think of is that even though they say 5 days and US local time if you did via an Australian number it cancelled 16 hours ahead of us.
But the amount of BS excuses they gave me ? Don't ask.
I also had to redo my trips 3 times.
I can go on a rant.

AA holds on EY awards are only for 3 days, even if the rep tells you it's a 5 day hold, EY will cancel it after 3 days.

No email. It might show online in your reservations, but in reality EY HX'd the segments and AA will not be able to ticket it.

Made up some lie on the spot that since I placed another hold that day (for the return flight ) the first one cancelled out and he has no way to reinstate it for the same price

FTR: The flight I placed the hold on went from $69 to $239 so looks like it was worth it for AA to cancel my hold. I just booked another flight at a not so convenient time for $100.
