Cellebrite hacked the iPhone for $15,000 and a few days time.
Much better result and proves the obvious that the FBI was full of s*** and was simply trying to set a precedent.

Not at all.
It was an older iPhone that can be exploited in ways that the newer ones can't.
Moreso, this case was all about the FBI setting a precedent of always having a backdoor into phones and Apple stood their ground and won.

The FBI knows how to crack phones of their enemies as was shown here, and was known all along.

What they wanted was an easy legal process so they can have a standardized way of breaking into phones of citizens that aren't US enemies.

What did they win? Apple couldn't care less about your privacy. The whole thing was a PR ploy and now it was shown that a private company can get past it without any help from Apple.

Apple cares about protecting its customers from Orwellian, illegal policies that the government tries to feed the public in the name of security.

What does a private company getting around it have anything to with it? FBI wanted APPLE to crack it which would create a very dangerous precedent. FBI was able to crack it on their own or pay a few bucks to get it done. But it was never about the specific data on that iPhone. That iPhone is old and has security holes. It was proven multiple times that the FBI was lying about many of their claims.

Apple won, plain and simple.
US citizens won, plain and simple.

Now the FBI can go F themselves.
