Lufthansa Miles and More question

Does anyone know how to keep Miles and More miles without keeping my Lufthansa card open? (Don't want to pay the annual fee and I'm not a frequent traveller.)

I was told I would lose the points as soon as I close the card!

Not true. You will not lose the miles once they have posted to your Miles and More account.

For some reason I've never gotten any AFs waived on any of my Barclay cards... I have 99% success rate with recon, I've gotten airline reps to go out of their way to get done what I need but for some reason when it gets to Barclaycard AFs I'm stuck  :-[

Is it possible that it's true that they can only offer what the screen lets them...?

It is up to you as to how much time it is worth investing for you. I know many that were first not getting it waived even and then did. Good luck either way.
