I have alot of marriott points and no united. Shouldn't this be a no brainer since the value is so much better?

perhaps someone needs to explain this to me but it looks like 4 marriott:1 UA..... was kinda excited bc i needed a few more miles for an upcoming trip. Also, it says 6 weeks to post.
