IAD-->GVA, Jan 2012
« on: March 13, 2011, 08:48:40 PM »
Greetings,
I am new to the forum and have enjoyed reading all of the suggestions...

I am trying to book a flight Jan 2012 on United non-stop by transferring Amex MR points to Continental.  So far there are no business or First seats available.  Does anyone know how early they release the seats? Also, is my idea above the most economical way to buy a ticket with MR points?
BTW I am AA Platinum, BMI Silver, Delta silver soon to be matched with AA platinum
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

I'm no expert on this but that sounds like it's way too far in advance to book with miles.  The most award availability tends to open up very close to departure.

Try looking earlier dates. Till availability shows up, so that you will have an idea of how far in the future they open up.

Say its 7 month + 5 days, set yourself a reminder for the same time before jan 12.
