AAdvantage flying to Israel Help

Anyone know how the best way going NYC-TLV with AAdvantage miles. My dates are aprox April 27 - May 4, AA says there`s no availability on El-Al. What other routes are there where i can use AAdvantage miles?

There's also Malev, RJ.
It would be helpful if you'd mention how many passengers, what class of service you prefer and the maximum flexibility...

1 passenger, any flight i can get my hands on without flying out of nyc right after pesach. i'm assuming the way back should be easier...

Not sure how many miles you want to spend but the 27th has availability BA first class in the morning connecting to El Al business that night.

Ye, make a regular reservation then call and ask to switch it to an award.
Some agents don't know how to do it properly so you may have to call a few times...

Even if the agent does know how to do it, are you saying that by making regular reservation on a flight where no award travel was available, I can simply switch over with the right agent?
