Is he a friend of yours? So just to make sure I understand your logic.... Because other people in other threads are blatantly not following the rules, this guy is ok?? At least in other threads people make a one time post, break the rules, and hope to get away with it. This guy took us all for fools, because he thinks he's outsmarted everyone else. In certain ways that's worse than just breaking the rules and hoping to get away with it!

or he doesn't want you to know how its done. some things are better left unknown to the public. As an aside according to you why is he only selling low category hotels. no reason not to post prices for all categories.

I just expressed my surprise at the amount of fire that this guy took based on a post that wasn't at all inflammatory.
I think some people got upset that they couldn't figure out what method the OP is using and that they are throwing a tantrum as a result.

Secondly, I'm honored to have the opportunity to provide some stimulation to some presumably very bored people.

Thirdly, even if arguendo I was using points to book the nights, I don't think that doing so would constitute a breach of the forum rules, which only prohibit the selling of points. If I was selling a gift-card which I procured with points, would so many apparently have the same concerns?

Lastly, a special 24 hour 10% discount on all nights is now in effect in honor of the selfless work of the self-appointed DDF police. Let it not be said that their selfless work and dedication goes unappreciated.

Either you have nothing to hide, then just come out and say so (not how you are getting the nights, just say I'm not using points). Or if you are using points and think it's ok based on the aforementioned logic, then come out and say so. When you take people for fools, they tend to get annoyed.

Do you still think it's not OK? Also, I'm not taking anyone for a fool, but some things are better kept quiet even if they are entirely permissible.

Based on the points/nights logic? I personally think it's the same, however I am not a mod (or the police for that matter), so it depends what they say. My point wasn't that it's against the rules, rather the fact that you were trying to hide what you were doing.
