+1. I can see this belong here as well. Now if there was a thread on "what is your favorite item" then that would belong in JS

Here's what I'm currently playing with. (HT: Costco and Sams Club  ;) )

Cell Phone: Palm Centro (Sprint)
Comment: Palm OS in a thin phone is great...but if only the Samsung i500 or Samsung i550 had EVDO...
At least USB Modem works like a gem!

Anyway, at the risk of setting off yet another WM/Palm debate: I don't deny that WM in a phone isn't by far the most powerful OS in a phone.  I just don't need my phone to be that customized at the expense of simplicity.  I (and others, including Walter Mossberg) just find Palm OS to strike the perfect balance between a smart OS with thousands of programs, and a very stable and simple phone.  For anything more complicated I'm going to be using my laptop anyway.
Now when a WM device can truly replace a laptop (something that I doubt will happen anytime soon) that will be a true game changer, but until that point I'm quite happy with an old-school palm OS powered phone like I've been with for 7 years now.

Amazing how much has changed in 5 short years!

[Bump]

Phone: Alcatel 3080.
Reason for buying: Was the cheapest replacement when my QLYX Q3 died.

Computer:
Main driver: GalaxyBook Pro 360 15.6", 11th gen i7, 16GB RAM and TB SSD. I keep a TeamGroup 128GB microSD inside with which I sync a second copy of the data that changes often.
Reason for buying: it was a 3lb large-screened computer with 17 hours of battery life, open box for $680 (in 2022!). I couldn't resist.

For harder-hitting tasks: Swift X 14, Ryzen 7 5800U, RTX 3050 TI (4GB), 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, upgraded with PNY CS2130 4TB and some 2TB XPG model. (I bought them a long time ago.)
Reason for buying: It was the first affordable portable computer with dedicated graphics (cost about $1000 when the competition was at least $1400 AND inferior).
Accessories
Ugreen 200W charger(for my bag), 2x65W charger for the house (and I have one unopened to sell for $38 in IL), and v a r i o u s cables
M2 to USB A and also to USB C adaptors, which I constantly use to upgrade people's SSDs
Huawei E5576 Mifi device
One Samsung USB-C flash drive and one Timetec USB A&C external SSD

Samvix Glasba 8 mp3 player with Kingston 32GB microSD card (would post a link but not sure which model) and House of Marley wired headphones (on my father's recommendation, and every other pair just sounds horrid compared to it - at least in the same price range!)

Umm... that's it, I think!
