That's not my experience. Fees were exactly as expected.
Just make sure you know which insurance option you want to go with, and you coverage from your primary auto-policy (if you have that).
I would rent with them again, if the car was late year model, car-owner had many good reviews, and savings were substantial relative to conventional rental companies.

That has not been my experience after adding the Turo insurance fees, taxes and other fees and pick up/drop off airport(if you are looking for that) it rarely beats conventional rental prices but that's just me

Montana, about $900 (vs. several thousand dollars for similar 8+ seater at traditional car rental), 11 days,  “minimum” coverage as a precaution from Turo in addition to my Geico policy. All drivers were >25.
