Advice for NYC-LHR AAdvantage during July 4'th holiday
« on: March 14, 2011, 10:52:49 PM »
Me, my wife & 1 baby need to go from NY to London during the July 4'th holiday.

Departing the 4'th or 5'th, and me returning the 11'th, and my wife on the 14'th.

The only mileage we have is 160,000 AA points (After signing up for 2 of the citi cards)

Of course we didn't find availability with AA, but there are some seats available with BA, but not before those terrible fees (which happens to be 1/2 the price of a regular ticket)

The AA agent didn't find any connecting flight for us, so i'll have to turn to the pro's here to please help me out in finding the best way possible.

Do i even have any other choice? for example another connection, or should i rather go with a AAnytime award, or maybe should i sell my AA Points and buy a regular ticket?

Does anyone have any suggestion?

I'm presuming youre looking for Economy.

Best bet is try and swap your AA miles for Continental miles and book on Virgin Atlantic direct.
55k miles each and $166.80 taxes.

PM me if you need more help.
