You got a ticket with a US license?
Nope. I was driving up to a traffic circle and I thought there was a crash or something. A punk-looking guy holding a clipboard standing nearby asked me something. I thought he was doing a survey so I answered him in russian (usually works) so the guy pulls out a police badge and asked for DL. I thought I was good because no speeding, cut red lights etc. and I was not talking on the cell. I was only talking on speaker and holding the wheel with both hands while holding the phone. I gave him my IL DL. He gave me a ticket for 1000 shekel. A guy came over to me and told me not to sign and that its my legal right not to sign. If you sign, its worse. I sent in a letter asking them to change it to a warning because I never got a ticket in all my years of driving in Israel and how I thought it was legal. If they wish, they convert it to a warning which means that it is pending, if you get another violation in a year (?) then you have to pay this one too. They turned down my request stating that I have not been driving on my IL DL that long (I just got it like a year ago) so I requested a court hearing and I am now waiting to hear from them

I have a
Migu that I thought it was legal because otherwise I would have pulled out my US DL. Will have to see what happens. Any ideas or experience?
