my jetblue barclays card is declined most of the time, there are funds in it.. what gives ?!

Call up Barclays and go ballistic.   Tell them you pay an annual fee and expect the card to work EVERY time.  Thell them how embarrassed you were.  They'll give you tons of free miles.

Flew out of JFK today with JetBlue on award ticket. All agents on the floor said the free luggage was inky if booked with JetBlue credit card. Eventually that called their help desk who confirmed that I was correct, and 25 mins later all three of us were good to go.
The annoying thing was that all those 25 minutes I was not able to find online the correct info to prove to them. Thank G-d we had come to the airport early.
So for future reference, does anyone have the relevant explicit t&c that can be posted to the wiki?

Per T&C:

"The primary cardmember and up to 3 travel companions on the same reservation who have purchased Blue fares each receive their first checked bag free on JetBlue operated flights. All ticket purchases (original and exchanges) must be made with the JetBlue Plus MasterCard Account and the cardmember’s TrueBlue member number must be entered at the time of booking. Applicable overweight and excess baggage fees will apply. See jetblue.com/travel/baggage/ for more information on JetBlue’s checked baggage policy. For benefit to apply, the Account must be open 7 days prior to air travel AND, reservation must include the primary cardmember's TrueBlue member number 7 days prior to air travel. If your Account is closed for any reason, these benefits will be cancelled. Eligible JetBlue Plus MasterCard primary cardmembers who have purchased a Blue fare will get their first checked bag free of charge for flights operated by JetBlue that do not include first checked bag free. In addition, up to 3 companions traveling with the eligible primary cardmember who have purchased a Blue fare will also get their first checked bag free of charge if they are listed in the same reservation. This benefit will not be available for travel on codeshare flights booked with a JetBlue flight number but operated by another airline. Waiver of bag fee does not apply to overweight or oversized bags. This benefit cannot be combined with any existing TrueBlue program benefits, including any waiver of baggage charges. Please see jetblue.com/travel/baggage for baggage weight and size restrictions. Applicable terms and conditions are subject to change without notice."

FWIW-When you are logged into an account that has the Plus CC it shows one free bag for blue fares. Doesn't seem to indicate that you need to pay with the card. But the T&C clearly state otherwise.

If it's an award redemption, what do the t&c say?

The card T&C's make no mention of rewards redemptions in regards to baggage exemptions.

We are so happy that you have chosen to open a JetBlue Plus card so you can earn points more
rapidly.

As a JetBlue Rewards Plus cardholder, you and anyone traveling with you is entitled to one free
checked bag. This benefit is linked to the cardholder, not the card itself. Therefore your
reservation booked with points and any other reservation you travel on will be flagged accordingly
regardless if you use your MasterCard. On the other hand, booking travel for someone else using your
JetBlue Plus card will not allow them a checked bag unless you are traveling on the same itinerary
with them.

Thank you for your loyalty. We look forward to welcoming you onboard again soon!

Kind regards,

Andrea

I believe the standard SUB on the no-AF consumer card is 5000 points for $1K spend.   They are advertising 10000 points for $1K spend om an in-flight offer for the same no-AF card.  Something to keep in mind if anyone is interested in that product.
