Instructions are usually good.
Is there an opener there and needs to replaced or installing the first one?
If none is there you might need a bracket for the door for reinforcement.
Nothing there currently. So it's a more involved process?

Yes as you will need to support the back of the opener (motor section).
Maybe watch a couple YouTube videos and see how comfortable you are. Feel free to ask questions.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Just realized, if I put a traditional motor it'll interfere with the rafters. I keep my succa up there. I would probably be better off with a motor that I can mount on the side of the door.

So we are not talking about a typical garage door?

That looks pretty neat. Probably easier to install.

Yes it's even preferable. Just paint the trims before installing them.

preferable? Why is that? That’s not how builders do it. They always paint after the trims are up.

Preferable because you get a cleaner look and painters probably don't install trim.

The only "downside" is that you won't be painting over the tiny nail holes which you made when attaching it

+1
Especially when you paint it a different color than the wall.

You can always touch it up later

ETA
To really be a perfectionist, you can paint the side and edges, put it up and paint the rest after it's up. ;D

It's like not taking off light switch and outlet covers before painting, while right and wrong sound a bit strong, there should be a proper way to do it.

Ask any carpenter. It is about preference.
You put up trim last and what happens when you scratch those beautiful painted walls?  :)

Speaking of... write the paint color code on the inside of the light switch cover

Interesting idea.
I just have joint compound left over, you think it will do the job?

Guessing it will crack and fall out a lot sooner.
