Is a simple adapter good enough to plug a 240v plug Aircon in a normal outlet?

Need to check the rating on both.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

What should the rating say for it to work?

No it is not enough. 240V outlets in the US are doubled up conductors, i.e. there are 2 legs of 120V each. The outlets have 4 holes, two for hot, one for neutral, one for ground. Eve if you had an adapter that converted the 3 hole to 4 holes (i doubt such a thing exists) it will not work because you will only pull 120V from that point.

The adapter is meant for travel to Europe where the single pole outlets are 240V.

You might be able to convert a 120V outlet into 240V if you're handy. That's my rec

Isn't usually done with two outlets? Unless perhaps having 7-10amps is enough

Will usually need to run another line to the outlet.

IMO it's a big mistake as it has no special benefit, and causes sweating in the summer.

I have leather. I believe the thicker, the better it will be. The thinner/softer the plastic, the more problems you might have from sweating etc.

But for us plebeians, that have regular fabric, it definitely does have a very clear benefit.

Might be worth comparing the work/price of covering with plastic vs reupholstering with leather (but don't get faux leather which will peel right off)
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

I'm going through this with my couch which I bought 4 years ago. Had no idea it wasn't *real* leather. Frustrating - bought it from a local frum store :/
