My original plan was a lot simpler, as the light I really wanted as way too big so I went with a smaller type that was flush to the support. But in between starting this project and now they actually came out with a way smaller version of the light I originally wanted, but that is what gives me the problematic 3/8" protrusion. Still worth it, but a bit more complicated now.

Just curious, how much heat does the light generate?

Not enough to really need a heat sink, but enough that it won't hurt lol.

How heavy is it?

Industrial strength Velcro is pretty strong.

Bigno! This might be the simple answer I was hoping for.

The light weighs nothing, a couple ounces maybe. The only problem I can think of is the heat of the light undoing the velcro adhesive, but that can be solved with stapling the velcro in place or something.

Offset bracket order cancelled, Velcro ordered.

Got one radiator that is not getting hot, while the others get hot. Any ideas what the issue can be and how to fix it?

Try to bleed the air valve, you'll need a bleeder key, something like this - https://a.co/d/4WllaND

I don’t see anywhere where can bleed it. Do all have?

Bleeding is not applicable here since OP has a steam heating system.

Your original idea would probably work because they do sell 12 ft curtain rods, but you would probably need to add a ceiling mounted bracket or two in the middle (and fill in the screw hole when you done with it)

Right that's probably my easiest option. I also gotta find the beam or use butterfly screws.

This one is a better width but much more pricey: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GM8CJV7/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1

I'm replacing a thermostat and want to shut the power to it before. Which breaker would be the right one? There is on labeled furnace, two together labeled AC and some general ones.

Thanks
