Not answering for Euclid. I personally prefer two handles. It reduces the risk of turning on hot water on shabbos
(I also vaguely remember reading that one handle always lets out some of each hot/cold however little. I'm not sure if it's true. Never looked up how they work)
Yeah most frum built houses have sinks with 2 handles due to shabbos.

Talking about hot water on shabbos, this is an interesting idea

discussed elsewhere on forums, seems to make sense for cold locales

Don't believe that to be correct. You can easily test by turning off the cold and see if anything comes out.

Nothing to do so I tested it. Small stream comes out but this a single handle Peerless faucet. Shutoff valve could be the issue to.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

If you turn off the valve, no water should be coming out (when it's on the side which you turned off), FWIW.

Also, regarding whether there is a mixture of hot and cold water, it depends on the specific sink.

If you can move the handle to hot or cold, before opening the sink, then whatever you set it to, that's what will be, it won't mix.

However, if it's a sink where you can only move the handle to hot or cold, after you open it, then, as soon as you open it, it will be mixing the hot and cold... Even if you will change it right away.

on many there's an adjustable blend valve in the faucet body

And if it's leaking when it's closed it's faulty :)

Where are you located?
If your house is old or you live in NY you prob have Bx wire, i wouldn’t worry about drilling into that since it’s protected by a metal casing
If you have romex then you need to do a little more checking, prob can use a wire tracer

That applies to NY in general? or NYC?
I think in upstate (wooden structures) it doesn't have any metal casing

Use a stud finder. Then you'll drill into wood hopefully

Was just told that some electric dryers do not need a vent - is this true?

Correct.
Though I have heard that they don’t dry particularly quickly or well, and that if you can figure out venting you’re much better off.
