in the past I have used something similar to this.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V6PFQRZ?ref=emc_b_5_mob_i

The one I used has plastic piece attached to the anchor so you would first insert the anchor and then screw in.
The one you linked is for heavier loads and will require pre-drilling
We have been unburdened by what has been.

Is it normal to connect the third wire of a light sensor to ground instead of neutral?

Seems to have worked fine for a while.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between the two?

Neutral is the return path, ground is for safety and is an added fault path. Typically it's the wire that isn't shielded.

Right. Thought that was negative not neutral
I've been in IL long enough I'm forgeting the english terms for stuff...
Quick Chazara IINM two wires - one positive one negative/neutral... three wires one pos, one neg, one ground?
So whats your question?

I don't think the terminology changes based on the the amount of conductors, in high voltage the neutral wire can be called negative because it's not (always) load bearing, as opposed to the "hot"/live/or as you call it positive wire, but it's usually called the neutral wire

Don't know what you want to see.

The light sensor requires neutral for it to get powered. Instead of running a 3 conductor wire, they got away with using a 2 conductor and used the ground as the neutral.

I believe smart devices that say no neutral required also use the ground.

I have the travel shabbos lamp. The adapter for charging broke. How do I know what ac/dc adapter is compatible?

On the adapter/convertor it should say an output voltage

My driveway has cement walls on each side which my car door slams into if I'm not careful. Thinking of putting some sort of pad on the cement wall, any ideas?

Mine broke a few years ago. I think I replaced it with the cord from some LED strip lights.

thank you, need something the would cover the entire or at least lower half of the door panel as well, the driveway is downhill and the cement wall start off at 1 foot and goes to 8 feet deep
I'm not sure if that's clear I'll send a picture later iyh.

The first suggestion should work. Just need to figure out how to stick it to the wall, needs to withstand cold/rain

Liquid nails (a name brand of construction adhesive which comes in a caulk gun tube) would be my choice
Double check whatever glue you choose as some can dissolve foam
You will probably need to brace / put a couple of tapcon screws/nails to hold the board until the bond sets
