I patched and fixed stairs and sidewalks with cement multiple times.
But for some odd reason each time I go to pick up a bag of cement, I manage to come back with a different bag each time.
One time it was plain sand cement, and then another with little Pebbles inside.

Any of you guys know which is the correct one for basic small repairs? From sidewalk and broken steps that need to be patched and replaced?

For small repairs I'd use mortar mix. It's easy to mix in any amount, easy to work with, and fills any size cracks.

I take it that's what it's called?

Yes

Silly me I bought the yellow bag had a big pebbles in it, Though it was actually okay because I needed to fill in two three inch deep holes in the sidewalk before my inspection.

Though for stairs, steps and make a smooth coating or a little touch up, having pebbles is not the way to go was kind of hard to make it smooth.

I don't. These prices are insane and what is worse is a lot of places don't even have them.

Don't know about that, it's definitely the in thing these days.

its just easier when you have a wall up and don't need to remove what is up to insulate.

I don't think it's just that. Its supposed to have a higher 'R-value' amongst other benefits.
It seems upon small further research that it's less likely to sag vs fiberglass which can, if not installed correctly.

Is the toilet a one piece toilet or a two piece?

And does the toilet inside look like that in the video?

1) Success - thank you for your support!

2) That video is exactly the part that needed to be replaced, though they made it a bit more complicated than the way I did it.

3) The issue (as explained by other videos online) is that the seal piece develops blisters over time, which allows water to get through. Anyone else experience this, and/or can recommend ways of just avoid the issue entirely (other than getting a different toilet)?

You can put in the standard flush valve but I wouldn't. How long did the old one last?
Also I just noticed one of my toilets is this type. Toilet is at least 10 years old.

I just wonder if there's a version of the seal that's made out of a material that wouldn't experience this issue.
