After having my new dryer installed I am getting an error message that the exhaust system is too long or has too many turns / restrictions.
The handyman said that a lot of the new machines are very sensitive to even the slightest of obstruction on their vent so that is why it's giving me those errors.
Is it bad for the machine if I continue to use it like this?

Any upgrade replacement options for Bath Exhaust Nutone 696N-B? I only found an option to replace the motor with the same 4.0 noise level (Part:Broan-NuTone C350BN Replacement Motor/Wheel)

I would prefer to replace it with a sleeker look however I am not looking to replace the housing. (Note this is the "B" version and not the "R-02" etc.; those have an upgrade kit made the manufacture)

For starters Call the company and see if they have anything as the same fit for the one you have. Secondly, you can change the motor like you mentioned.
As well, they sell covers, which can replace an old looking cover if you like.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do. But if you're looking to get a whole new unit, then yeah, you're going to have to rip out the old one. If it's an attic where there's crawl space, it should be pretty easy to swap out.

The machine works a bit harder and will take probably a little longer to dry. General rule with dryers, the shorter the run, the better and faster drying time.

And the reason for that... is really over time.

longer dryer vents can make it take longer to dry your clothes because they can reduce airflow and cause lint buildup

I have 2 load bearing 2x6 beams attached to one another, I need to install something in the wall that requires me to penetrate 1/2" more than the sheetrock, Is it ok to notch a thin 1/8" line, 1/2" deep in both 2x6 on two center (in height) spots 8" apart of each other ? (Using a multi tool etc)

I wouldn't either, that's why I'm asking, there's a chance that it's not an issue at all

Got it, then it’s a column/post.
In general it’s probably not a problem.
In reality it’s not a yes or no question, do you know what it supports?

From that picture you attached i wouldn't worry. I would definitely notch a small little 1/8 cut out if you need.

From the picture it looks like the end beams are also supporting that frame. seems like 3 beams together
But either way i wouldn't worry too much with such a small notch.

Actually found this picture now, from which I realized I'm not talking about the 4 load bearing columns stocked together but two columns that one was later added to the edge column in the previous picture to support framing for sheetrock...

What is your preferred medium to lightweight drywall anchors?

I came across this one and it would be super helpful and a great upgrade from the plastic ones if they worked as advertised, anyone with experience?

in the past I have used something similar to this.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V6PFQRZ?ref=emc_b_5_mob_i

The one I used has plastic piece attached to the anchor so you would first insert the anchor and then screw in.
