Generally if you initiate a billpay the bank will try to see if it can be done electronically, as in the case of a CC.

just use online billpay - but it may not get there on the day you schedule it vs amex which counts the day you schedule it on as paid.

I just paid three different Amex accounts with three very different names, all from my chase bay pill and all in one shot. So far so good...
