No more re allocation of AMEX credit limit!
« on: October 17, 2008, 11:06:40 AM »
This is a heads up that the cool feature that Amex used to have that you can easily move credit limits from one card to another on your account is not available anymore. >:( According to a c/s rep i spoke to they stopped this due to a risk analysis that they did.

I tried calling the credit dept to see if they would reduce the limit on 1 card in order to get an increase on another and they said they can just process increase requests that would be based on credit, decreases can be done through customer Service and doesnt affect the outcome of the increase.

AMEX pulled this one with no prior warning...quite unfortunate as this was a nice feature.
Sometimes a manager will help you out though.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
