Author Topic: DDMS Redesign Suggestions (Read 48169 times)

Dan, why is it such a big deal to look at pictures of diapers and SD cards? First off all, many products you post are not as generic, so the pictures can be very helpful. And even when it is a common product - what does it hurt? I don't think the site will load THAT much slower...and it makes the page come alive a bit.

I believe (and someone else mentioned this before too) that the would be much less sales if there were images.

What is the main objective?
To attract new customers, get more clicks from existing customers, or to prevent existing customers from migrating to other sites?

Can images be added to all specific post pages and not the home page?

In other words everything stays as s with the home page but when you open a post you can see the image.

1. with images you scroll much quicker and miss stuff. 2. First impression will make you miss a lot especially in a deal like Macy's suits yesterday where there are tons of items

Hate all the scrolling. Why not utilize the humongous margins on the sides to reduce the length of the posts. Or make small boxes horizantally that you can click on that will make them into threads like the "other" deal site out there. Scrolling through all the comments is also tedious some times on the popular deals.

So I met a ddfer and asked him "what do you thing about changing the theme on dansdeals?" his reply was "I don't think it should be changed i love the way it's now", so i showed him the sample, he liked it and said "it's cool wow, ok the ddms thew should change but ddf should definitely not be touched i like the simplicity of it" (while he's pinching and zooming on his smart-phone), so i showed him the reseller theme that everyone could set here just scroll down and click use this theme, he went out of his mind how he could see everything within his viewport.... (Even though it still needs this fix)

The theme is nice, but everyone's profile should go off in this case
