DDMS Redesign Suggestions

So I met a ddfer and asked him "what do you thing about changing the theme on dansdeals?" his reply was "I don't  think it should be changed i love the way it's now", so i showed him the sample, he liked it and said "it's cool wow, ok the ddms thew should change but ddf should definitely not be touched i like the simplicity of it" (while he's pinching and zooming on his smart-phone), so i showed him the reseller theme that everyone could set here just scroll down and click use this theme, he went out of his mind how he could see everything within his viewport.... (Even though it still needs this fix)

FWIW, when using a slow internet connection DDF loads much faster than many other sites/forums.

In terms of the pictures -
I'm not one to bite on every single deal, just cause its a deal. I try and only get stuff I may use . This morning's car mount http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=42386.0;attach=14631 is a perfect example: I don't need a new car mount, but many people have seen my magnet mount and how easy it is to use and begged me to get them one. My MIL loved it so much she bought 100s of them to market for her company.
I saw free car mount in the title of the tweet and assumed it was one of the garbage ones you can get a dollar store. I wasn't gonna do anything, but I figured I should just check the amazon link. Lo and behold it was a magnet link and I got three from three diffrent accounts (thanks JJ!).

This has definetly happened to me multiple times over the years.

Slightly OT. To all the people out there giving suggestions and showing how different themes will look. Is this something you've picked up on your own? Did you do some web designing course? I would like to become more knowledgable in this area, I'm just not sure how to go about it.

I made my website myself. I used a Wordpress theme which customizes easily and followed instructions. Where there I needed more than instructions I went to their forum. What exactly are you loking to do?

A company I'm involved with is looking to grow their online presence, and use search engine optimization etc... It's not my responsibility per se, I just want to know more so I can speak to whoever does it intelligently.

DBA = Database Administrator. SQL = the language you use when programming/working with databases.

So this topic picked up again during my trip and I have my own $.02 to add that I do not believe was mentioned.

On the whole, I agree that redesigning DDMS, while neccesary, may not be profitable. However, there is A LOT of info on DDF that can be helpful to any (not only a points/cc) kosher traveler. Including this content in an easy to navigate DDMS would IMHO increase traffic and perhaps make that redesing profitable.
The content I am reffering to is spread out throughout the various dest guides and TRs. AFAIK, there is no (good or popular) website for the kosher  traveler. However spread out throughout the various dest guides is all the content neccesary. Besides for all this valuable info, there is also a plethora of interesting/exciting TRs. I believe the inclusion of these into DDMS would DEFINITLY increase traffic. Heck, half of DDFB posts are about questions that could be easily answered if this info was accesible to the "Hamon Am".
Now, I know we can say again and again, "Just look it up its all on the forums", but the reality is most people are (legitimately?) afraid of DDF. Including this content in a redesingned DDMS would be a valuable asset. I honestly believe that if done right a sister-site with this info could be just as popular as DDMS.

Very well written. Especially the kosher traveler part.  Anyone can just start writing up a kosher traveler book and find ideas for every location from ddf. It would be an amazing opportunity for the right individual
