"We are not born winners. We are not born losers. We are born choosers."

I've recently seen this attributed to Rav Avigdor Miller. Now, I am not an expert on Rav Miller, but I've read some of his
writings and heard some of his lectures, and this does not sound to me like something that would have come from him.
Google has some results for it, as well as for a couple of forms in the singular -  “You are not born a winner. [etc.]",
"You were not born a winner or a loser. [etc.]", and none that I saw were from anyone Jewish-sounding (except when
adding Rav Miller's name to the search).
If anyone can show a source for this coming from Rav Miller, they're welcome to do so.

I don't see how this is a Jewish idea at all. it is only tzaddik and rasha that aren't decided before a person is born. Chochom or tipesh, ashir or ani is decided.

Not seeing it there. All he says that the עיקר of the 70 nations are yishmael and eisav.

He's saying that all of the 70 nations fall under the realm of either Eisav or Yishmael. The assumption there is that it's an even split, 35 each. If that's the case, and we have in the world 2 primary worldviews (besides for Yisroel), it stands to reason that the one presented by the West is that of Eisav/Edom.

This “worldview” business seems highly speculative to me.

How do you understand the realm/influence of Eisav vs. Yishmoel?

He says the Zohar says (need to see that inside) that the rest of the nations are יונק from Eisav and Yishmael.

Why do nations need to represent a “worldview”? They usually refer to a specific ethnic group or at least a specific geographical location.

And what are the Chinese and Indians? Edom/Eisov or Yishmoel? They make up a pretty nice percentage of the world. Perhaps is just the nations that Jews suffer from?

Remember seeing somewhere that the orientals are bnei Keturah. That lechora would mean neither, unless they are somehow yonek from one or the other. And where does that put the African nations?
