My wife was upset at me about something or other so on my wife home I bought some scratch off lottery tickets for her which always chears her up. But I snuck one fake one into the pile. One that when you scratch off reveals that you won $50,000. She screamed in excitement, then cried in disappointment, but then she laughed. Most importantly totally forgot about being mad at me.

Reminds me of the following from my days in Yeshiva, which while not at all intended as a prank was quite entertaining to see every year:

Traditionally on Motzoei Yom Tov of the first days of Pesach, yeshiva kitchen would serve hard boiled eggs and cooked potatoes. This was served on the tables and accompanied by a bowl of schmaltz.

It was pretty entertaining to see the bochurim (mostly Israeli) who have never heard of, or seen schmaltz think that Yeshiva provided some kind of home made Mayonnaise....

How many bochurim were in yeshiva for Pesach? Didn't they go home?

In 770 back in those days over 100. I would guess that nowadays it might be more, just because there are many more Israelis (who are usually the overwhelming majority of that don't go away for Pesach).

Till this day there are well over 100.
Almost all "Kevutzah" Bochurim stay as well as some others.
