Been Mosaic two years now. Never flew mint. Looking to book two mint tickets but prices are very high.

What is the best route to get reduced mint seats either by using $$ or points?

Looking to fly JFK-LAS during July.

Any suggestions?

Mosaic for mint does not matter much. Try mr/csr?

Ok.

Final question. Not sure if this is the correct thread or if it belongs in the AMEX or JetBlue thread.

If I purchase the mint ticket on amextravel portal using MR points, then decide to cancel the flight as a Mosaic member,in a month from now... How does JetBlue handle the refund?

Is it considered a cash purchase and the cash value for the ticket goes into the travel bank, and I still keep the 35% AMEX credit?

JB can either refund to your travel bank, your CC or refer you to Amex

Amex isn't an option since tickets can only be cancelled 24 hours.

Amex can refund your ticket if you have Mosaic status, they may charge their own service fee but the Airline's fee doesn't apply

Interesting!
Thanks for the info.

However if I cancel through JetBlue and not through Amex, will they claw back the 35% point refund, or they have no way of knowing?

They would get an alert when a booking they made is canceled?
I don't know if that's the case but definitely possible.
