I'm feeling very vindicated right now.
It feels good to know you haven't been living a lie
120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-

I saved 7 minutes today by doing this. The BQE before exit 31 was very backed up, so I merged in at the last second....

Really in this case, a zipper merge won't matter, because there is a light.

Isn't this about two lanes merging into one when the second lane does not continue straight after the exit?

It causes crashes.

You are essentially cutting the line too.

It's not just turning lanes but merging lanes, you are supposed to merge not just speed ahead using the open space then squeeze in.

Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

I was taking 'supposed to' as law, or driving instruction, or whatever. But that varies greatly on this topic - state by state, and I'm sure in different countries as well.

Can we add to the discussion those who wait behind the white line for a left turn?

But only if they are first in line. Then they wait to turn until a split second before the light turns red and and leave everyone else behind.

Sooo frustrating! Was recently behind a car that just sat there and didn't even turn.

Says who?

The person merging into the lane never has the right of way.

This situation; I95 southbound in the right lane after Ives dairy road exit.

There's a sign that lane ends in 500 feet... So in theory cars should merge into the lane at some point. But there's an extended wide lane that eventually is just 2 lanes in 1 and is such a nightmare. ..

Although I'm pretty sure that anyone who goes to the end of the line on the 826 when it turns off to 163rd and tries to merge right at that last second and is STOPPED in middle of the highway is liable for anyone who crashes into them .

I hate people who are in "right turn must turn right " lanes, light is red with no oncoming traffic and they don't turn?

Oh I really hate short turn signals and 1 shmuck in front of me is using their phone and only turns when the light is yellow turning red leaving you stuck..
