I see that. All I'm saying is that I did it last week and it worked...
Was it the first time it's been activated on R+, maybe was it after 12 months active on Virgin

First time ever activated on Ringplus, and it has never been active on any carrier.

Try to open a support ticket or chat.
I opened a support ticket which is still processing, but I just checked again and I see that it was added to my account 2 days later.

This weekend promo:
Starting tomorrow Friday, September 16th, 2016 at 9am Pacific until Monday, September 19th, 2016 at 9pm Pacific

Hot Pastrami Sandwich Free Plan: An Increasing Free Plan

-       The Hot Pastrami Sandwich Free Plan starts with 4,500 talk, text, MMS, and MB of data and increases up to 7,000 talk, text, MMS, and MB of data over a six-month period.

-       A $29 Top Up is required to cover overages. If, and only if, the Top-Up balance reaches $0, another $29 auto Top Up will be automatically charged to your credit card on file. Normally, RingPlus requires a $39 auto Top Up, therefore, reducing your startup cost by $10 to only $29.

Here is how it will work:

1) The Hot Pastrami Sandwich Free Plan will start out with the following:

Free/month: 4,500 talk, 4,500 text, 4,500 MMS, and 4,500 MB of Full-Speed 4G LTE data.

2) Over the next six billing cycles, RingPlus will add an additional 500 talk, text, MMS, and MB of Full-Speed 4G LTE data to the Hot Pastrami Sandwich Plan until you have 7,000 talk, text, MMS, and MB of Full-Speed 4G LTE data.

Overages: $0.05 per minute, text, and MMS and $15 per GB of data

Tethering will be available for $3.99 and will be drawn from the top up.

Top Up for New Activations:

A $29 Top Up is required to cover overages. If, and only if, the Top-Up balance reaches $0, another $29 auto Top Up will be automatically charged to your credit card on file.

Upgrades: The number of upgrades will depend on how many new activations occur during the promotion. Therefore, upgrades may be suspended for a short time during the promotion while we wait for new activations. Please check periodically.

Regular Upgrades:

A $20 upgrade fee will be charged to your credit card and added to your existing Top Up balance. Afterwards, if, and only if, the Top Up balance reaches $0, another $29 auto Top Up will be automatically charged to your credit card on file. Please allow 2 days from close of the promotion for your matching credits to post to your account. Please note that the upgrade fee has been reduced by $5 from $25 to $20.

Member+ Upgrades:

A $5 upgrade fee will be charged to your credit card and added to your existing Top Up balance. Afterwards, if, and only if, the Top Up balance reaches $0, another $29 auto Top Up will be automatically charged to your credit card on file. Please allow 2 days from close of the promotion for your matching credits to post to your account. Please note that the upgrade fee has been reduced by $5 from $10 to $5.

Overages will be drawn from your Top Up balance, plus applicable telecom taxes and fees.

@searchguy is there a monthly fee for this plan? If I stay with the limits you mentioned, I will not be charged anything besides the initial $29 forever?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Does it have to be a sprint phone? Or an unlocked phone with a sprint Sim will work too?

The hot pastrami promo us free every month, unless you add 3.99 for monthly tethering . they have another promo this weekend, the mad team plan which has calls routed directly over Sprint which does have a monthly fee. The phone has to be able to work on the Sprint network and pass the BYOD checker

I'm pretty sure it will. I believe the phone I used was locked to sprint.

it must pass their BYOD checker because it may have financial obligations that have not yet been cleared... It shouldn't be a palm blackberry or PTT

Only sprint phones and some prepaid that operate on the sprint Network will work on Ring plus.  What do you mean by " locked "?

That's what I thought, so I'm really confused. I tried activating a Sprint phone and the BYOD checker indicated that it was good, but when I actually tried swapping it with the old device, it wouldn't work.

what's the exact model number of your phone and at what point does it not work? I.e. activation, provisioning..

the mad scientist plan is 15.99+tax a month.unlimited talk and text no ad calling. If your "unlimited" is less than 4750 min and text (which goes up 250 each month until 6000, or at least is supposed to go up) you can try to wait for the mad BBQ brisket plan which is $38+tax one time and free after that . the only trade off is the data is throttled and may have ads but phone calls are regular sprint without ads

Thanx. How often does that BBQ brisket come around ?
Does it include international calls ?
