Depends which cc. Some will ask u if u dealt with the merchant (in ur case amazon) amex will usually just refund u if the charge is small enough. But amazon won't be happy. In fact it may be worse

You're lucky you were just banned. Others have been arrested for cashback "loopholes".  Although I guess that still could happen.
