It's brought down in Shulchan Aruch Harav. That some would try to drink from a well motzei Shabbos because the Be'eroh Shel Miriam travels throughout the world on Motzei Shabbos and they might just chance upon it.

I'll bet the owner feels he is some level of "klei kodesh" and without selling these he would be right IIRC based on a rashi but I don't remember where.
