Going up North in Israel

HI,

Im planning in driving from yerushalayim up north(Tiverya area) for 2 days with wife and kid.

1) Is it not recommended to take highway 90, or no big deal?
2) Anyone have any good recommendations on good mehadrin eateries?

If your planing on staying in the kinar hotel you'll have plenty of good food.
