I re-applied for plat twice, once more than 30 days after opening first one but less than 30 days after closing, and once again 30 days after closing date.
Each time, I got a letter from AMEX that the request was cancelled because:
Thank you for your recent application for the Platinum Card. It is our pleasure to service your request for an American Express card. However, our records indicate that you have recently submitted more than one application for American Express card(s), therefore this request has been cancelled. Your original application(s) has been reviewed and we are happy to inform you that you were approved! Your new card(s) has been sent to you and, after calling to activate, you may begin using the Card(s) immediately and start enjoying all of the benefits of Cardmembership.
[I might add that right after getting the second denial, I applied for Gold and got instant approval.]
My question:
Should I call up to have this reconsidered, or do I run the risk of waving a red flag which will prevent me getting the bonus again.
Thanks.
