Had this issue last year. If I remember correctly, I bought a label online and didn't have an issue saying it was coins etc. Got insurance.

Registered mail is the only option apart from couriers or third-party insurance. It's extremely secure and is regularly used to mail precious stones, currency and physical bonds. Pricing depends on declared value but it is generally a $15-$25 add-on to whatever service you select.

Insurance is available up to $25k.
