what changed was that the mint sold another 59000 of these coins under a different product number to dealers which each one of these products contained 40 coins so they managed to buy directly from the mint

Perhaps, but a household limit could still limit bulk buyers from stocking up, a scenario described by jackst would give them a way around it, without having to pay a premium to individual buyers (or brokers buying from individuals and selling to them).

Big shoutout to PFS who’s a pleasure to deal with, never any issues, and is a mentsch! Yes I’m sure by reading through this whole thread I will have no issue grading my coins and reaping big profit however I also try being a mentsch and looking back (at least for me) PFS was the first who introduced me to this line and as for someone who is so honest, trustworthy and easy to deal with he will stay with my business.

After reading up thread how buyers backed out…PFS hasn’t backed out.
Their service beats every competitor I dealt with. Once you sign up with them you can sit back and relax. They will proactively reach out to you with updates and next steps. Unlike others where you have to be on top of the game and request labels, etc
Ftr other than being a long time customer I have no relationship with them

I agree you should stick with those who honor their commitments even if they are not the highest offer (within reason).

I agree with all of this. Have left quite a bit of money on the table by committing to pfs (especially last year's deal) but never had any anxiety from them. I'll still go with them most of the time because I'm not interested in learning the market.... happy just to make a quick buck. My only true complaint was when I reached out for a match and was told no... had to go elsewhere that time

yes but there was a product limit so this gave them the option to make a different product sell the same item in bulk without limits....

IME sometimes yes sometimes no. The extra effort and chance of hearing no are both cons

He offers less but sticks to his word even when he takes a loss, while others offer more but renege on their offer when they’ll take a loss. That’s the trade off.
