Does anyone see a pending charge on their AMEX statement?

These order are not processed right away. Once you receive an confirmation email (not acknowledgment email) that is when they process payment.

Yup. One is acknowledging the order that it is processing, and the second is the confirmation.

If these follow the trend of the Platinum Proof's from 12/15 I think wait/hold is the best strategy.  Versus unload/undercut.  Thoughts?

Did you compare mintages, series collectors, the lack of detail and inaccurate size of the Mercury + other factors?

The platinum coin had only 4k minted. This one has 125k. Plus most of them are in the hands of flippers due to the 10 set limit.

There have been many series that have returned to issue cost after the initial flipper frenzy (see gold baseball coins with a mintage of 50k - and arguably more interesting - the enhanced uncirculated silver eagle a couple of years ago - and many others)

Perhaps spend a bit more than 60 seconds analyzing the merits of this issue before advising others.

Asking for thoughts is advising others?

Thanks for your input.

Perhaps read a bit more than the first sentence of another's post before responding.

People read what you write and can form an opinion on what to do based on your comparison.
So some caution is appropriate before throwing out your thoughts.
Nothing personal was meant.
And you may be correct that it is wise to hold on to them.
But the comparison to last years platinum eagle wasn't based on anything.

Pros:
    1) Popular subject for a commemorative - the mercury design is widely collected and popular
    2) 1/10 gold oz. size is relatively affordable to the average collector.
    3) Quick sell out (~35 minutes) lends a rarity factor to these coins (short term only)

 Cons:
    1) 125K is a LOT for a gold commemorative
    2) People that collect the series are upset at the lack of detail (no full bands on reverse) and wrong size.
    3) It's a business strike, not a proof
    4) Premium over spot was stratospheric - @ 205 it's 80$ over melt. Most expected this to be priced @ 175
    5) Relative lack of interest as gauged by anticipatory posts on coin forums. The Platinum had 50 pages worth before it was sold;    this had about 10. Obviously not scientific, but it is anectodatal.
     6) 10 limit per household means much of the mintage is in the hands of flippers.

    4) Premium over spot was stratospheric - @ 205 it's nearly double melt.
