Fidelity Cashback (2%)

Amex: Effective January 15, 2021, the definition of a cash advance will now include “precious metal coins or bullion.” However, as of July 2021, this does not seem to be enforced.

It is not Chabad bashing. It is a suggestion that a fellow Chabadnik gets precedence due to their commonality. Not likely, IMO, but certainly possible, and not a/t against Chabad, just a suggestion of nepotism/cronyism.
Suggestion of nepotism/cronysim = bashing to a certain extent, which was my point above.

Despite bias always being possible, I think it makes for a pretty pathetic argument in this case. Again, the fact stands that they are a paying advertiser on DD and have paid for the rights to exclusivity. Although I may not be a fan of this myself on a deal site, I understand the business behind it. If you can't show proof of a non-Chabad competitor who submitted a better offer and was rejected, your accusation of bias and cronyism doesn't have a leg to stand on. It can be argued that you are in fact the one being biased. Again, facts don't care about your feelings.

Self promoted thread approved by JJ
There are tons of self promoted threads here. Sometimes someone self promotes a good deal. The mods seem to tolerate it mostly. Do you feel there should be stricter moderation of these things? They apparently don't feel it worth their while.
Feelings don't care about your facts

Correct, but not of Chabad; of the site owner(s). The exact same thing could've been said regardless of the group... 'nuff said...

Only it wasn't. It was said of Chabad. Not of them being friends. Not of them perhaps having gone to Yeshiva together and having a background etc. It was suggested only because they are both Chabad. Facts I stated don't change. If you have proof of someone non-Chabad coming to them with a better offer please speak up. If you don't have proof, I simply ask if you are stupid enough to stake your argument here on Chabad bias.

For anyone selling on eBay (who's not a big ebay'er): don't forget to subscribe as a basic seller.  Only 6% final value fee on coins.

That's a dick move.

Sure, bud. You're such a saint. Why don't you take advantage of a few more Amazon price mistakes.

You already agreed to sell them to someone at a more than fair price.
Backing out of that deal to try and sell for just $50 more is greedy.

I don't ask for others' thoughts when I'm being an a**hole.  You did.  Were you looking for someone to validate you?  I just don't get it.

Looking ahead 9/8 - Standing Liberty 2016 Centennial.  High mintage for a coin that will likely price around $425 but there are recorded sales ALREADY in the $750-800 range.  Thoughts?

You probably can't sell these on Amazon. Regarding eBay That's always the risk of selling on eBay, however in most cases you don't have issues. Just make sure the buyer has good feedback and hope for the best and if you feel he's shady cancel the order.

You can't, that's the risk you take. #BTDT

FWIW I don't mind the discussion, this isn't FT and SD were they would swiftly ban you for that. I'm not fully onboard myself, though I understand JJs desire to diversify and monetize where it makes sense as well as clamp down on businesses trying to make a buck by avoiding going through the proper DD advertising channels.

But good grief does SG have an axe to grind. He'd give steve2 a run for his money!

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.
