so what's with the ebay scam?. I won three auctions all paying between $970 to $995 from three different sellers and they all cancelled the auctions on me. One messages begging me to cancel, the other 2 just cancelled on their own

So what is the scam going on here? What am I missing? What is the point of listing and cancelling, it's not like the price where low

Maybe you don't have enough buyer feedback/ratings and they don't trust you?

@CountValentine you seem to be the resident expert.  Can I open the USPS box - is there another internal seal that will still make this be a "sealed" coin?  Not selling the coin just curious to see it...  May want to grade it, not sure on that yet.
I am far from an expert. I deal in PM not these coins. AFAIK there is no second seal. I have not opened one of these but have opened others and there was no seal.
Where can one sell a coin from a box that was opened?
To someone that trusts you did not have it graded.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

What is PM?
So if I'm keeping it, would you recommend just keep it sealed forever, or pay the $150 or so fee to have it graded?

So whether or not I want to grade it, and assuming it's a long term hold, keep it in the sealed box?
I want to know if I got a hand signed one...
If you intent on sending it in for grading, why can't you open the box? Do the grading companies have a rule for only accepting sealed boxes??

They changed their mind and wanted to keep it/wait for a higher price.

Why don't you buy on DDF at that price?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Could be that it creates false “sold” confirmation for what the current price is and they are manipulating other things with this info

When sending it in for grading you will want to have it marked/graded as 'early release' and you can only get that designation if you send it  in still sealed in original box. Apparently it has higher value if designated as early release. You can send in the coin not in original box but then it won't get that early release designation

I don't think it needs to be sealed if you send it within the first 30 days of release.

In terms of what everyone means by "sealed", no you cannot open the USPS box
It doesn't make sense. All the ones being sold on Ebay have been opened already

So then what is the issue with opening the box if you are having it graded?

They're afraid you got it graded and it came back with a bad grade.
I'm not who you think I am.

The grading company is afraid of that?
