Fidelity Cashback (2%)

Amex: Effective January 15, 2021, the definition of a cash advance will now include “precious metal coins or bullion.” However, as of July 2021, this does not seem to be enforced.

Classic Mint. They always have capacity issues for hot items. Couple that with the lowest mintage ever and you have a bunch of crybabies complaining about their inability to get the V75. 75% went to registered users. Guess the other 25% are DDF subscribers using guest checkout  ::) ::) ::)
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Pretty incredible that so many folks here got so many of the V75 coins given that there were 390,000 users attempting to access the website at that time...

Same question over in other thread:

I can't get over how many people on this forum managed to get the gold coin.  Pretty determined group we've got here, I guess.
Or they bought from others on ebay for cheap immediately
Ebay was selling at 7k at the beginning.

Indeed. Most knew to be prepared with accounts preloaded with info and to log in first and then just have the CVV on hand etc. that’s what all the buying group instructions said. I think that makes a huge different vs showing up not logged in at 12pm. Still it’s incredible I agree

Just an update: I received my gold coin yesterday B'H. The person who I delivered it to Ofcourse forgot (even after afew warnings) Spoiler alert: the pkg was opened! (Duh!) GASP! But I think it'll retain its value.
Silver coin is still.. Drumroll... 'Processing' May it fall into the right hands....
I don't understand why the Mint doesn't have some sort of equivelant seal inside the box. Seems that for grading purposes, everyone talks about keeping the box closed, but gosh, the Mint could make things much easier with just a small ounce of logic.

You're like the pollsters. You got it all wrong.
Didn't get one on my account. Actually that whole computer got locked out because of multiple refreshes.
But got 1 gold and 4 silver as guest checkout. Even though took longer to input info, coin still stayed in my cart.

https://www.usmint.gov/news/press-releases/message-from-united-states-mint-director-david-ryder

“Finding the right number is part art and part science. Most of the time I think we’re successful, but in the case of the World War II 75th Anniversary products we clearly underestimated demand.”

So everyone and their mother knew that this was going to be a highly desirable coin weeks before its release, but the “team” at the Mint didn’t?

The 1945 mintage of the gold was very deliberate and done to generate hype. It was a marketing tactic. Suddenly everyone here is wondering about every coin coming out from the mint whether it will be valuable.

Oh, and that thing about them sometimes minting far too many? Total nonsense. Look back at their catalog. Many, if not most items are sold out long ago.

Asking for logic is asking too much from a Gov agency

Don't forget these coins are made for profit. It's a business, and they're doing a good job. He's supposed to spin and market and pretend this is all public service.
