Fidelity Cashback (2%)

Amex: Effective January 15, 2021, the definition of a cash advance will now include “precious metal coins or bullion.” However, as of July 2021, this does not seem to be enforced.

Do you mean they are only paying $85 even to those who committed at $130? Or that they were offering $130 but if you didn’t commit then, now they’re offering $85

Anyone have sealed boxes of CC in hand in Brooklyn today and want to sell for $100 per coin?

Now that 2021 is over for the Mint, was there a clear winner? Are there any that people are holding rather than selling? The buying groups caused some weird frenzies. Not sure what the real demand/outlook turned out to be for most of the deals. (Hope everyone here did well.)

What's the proper answer on this question from a buyer:
"I know we committed at a high price, any chance you can help me on pricing because I'm selling at 105 per coin, or you'd rather stick with committed price?"
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

Ask him if had given you more then agreed if the coin had gone up in price 😉

what's considered a loss? I committed more of the same coins a few days later to someone else for a higher price, (and already got paid without a word), I didn't commit these coins to the second buyer because it was committed to the first buyer.

If you say yes, you’re still making a profit, albeit less then you could’ve / should’ve.

Considered a loss is getting less then you paid for it. Anything equal or higher is considered a profit.

Hard call. I’d say this is supporting someone’s parnassah and thus the highest form of Tzedakah, though you’d have to AYLOR whether it counts a maaser deduction/credit.

In a sense I’m happy I didn’t mutually-commit to a DDF buyer at the early/peak prices and cause them a loss.

If UPS sends back the package to the mint (after failed delivery attempts) will I automatically get refunded or do I need to be hands on now for each order? Anyone with experience?

from past experience (which was during covid) they first quarantined the coins for 2 weeks and then processed it in order received and credited my card
